There is some information that we can see at Pasaraya Grande Blok M, South Jakarta. There is an Apple’s logo with the text says "Apple Store†and open: 16 June 2013 at the bottom of the logo. But is it the real "Apple Store†from Apple? The Apple Store located in the middle of the fashion sector. There are so many fashion styles such as shirts, bags, shoes and so on in the Apple Store.
But there is no one tells about the manager of this store. Apple never opened their official store in Indonesia before. The products of Apple are sold by Authorized Reseller and Premium Reseller like iBox, Emax, or Infinity which opens their market in the strategic location.
Real or Fake?
The first information of the Apple store is from twitter. Executive Editor Macworld Indonesia, Aulia Masna said that there are some hesitancy about the store of Apple at Pasaraya Grande Blok M, south Jakarta.
First is about the detail. Apple is known as the company which rally concern about the detail, for example in using the word for the product or even just for information. According to the record, Apple is usually not using an Arial.
Second is about the opening of the store. The text says that "Open: 16 Juni 2013†which contains Bahasa Indonesia and English. It shows that inconsistent and it doesn’t show about the Apple’s main character which always shows the detail.
Apple had a permission to invest in Indonesia since December 2012. According to Koordinasi Penenaman Modal or BKPM, Apple invests 3 million US dollar or Rp 28,5 billion.
If Apple wants to build the Apple Store, Apple should build a modern store with the range is about 2.000 m sided. The rule is taken to keep control the agreement with local investor which has an agreement with Apple in Indonesia.
So, what is the Apple Store in Blok M? If it not the real official Apple store, it could one of the Apple’s distributor from Apple in Indonesia. The best way to prove it is waiting to the opening on 16 June 2013. Will see, how great is it?? [NRZ]
