The acronym of LG brand stands for Lucky Goldstar, it is a group of corporation originated from South Korea. The history of LG began in 1947 when Lucky Chemical Industry as the first Korean chemical corporation was founded.

The history of LG began in 1947 when Lucky Chemical Industry as the first Korean chemical corporation was founded. Later in 1958, the company expanded its industry to home appliance’s production and changed its name to Goldstar Electronics Corporation.
Now, the Lucky Goldstar group became one of the biggest companies in Korea along with Samsung, Hyundai and Daewoo. The company is divided into four business divisions i.e. Mobile Communication (cell phone and pc tablet), Digital Appliances (air conditioner, refrigerator, etc.), Digital display (CRT and LCD monitor, projector) and Digital Media (DVD player, DVD recorder, car audio, home theater system).

Initially, the debut of its mobile phones did not achieve a good response and attention from the market even though the phones had been produced with interesting design and features. At that time, it is basically known as a leader company in the electronic industry but not yet in the mobile phone’s industry.

The company gained a great success after releasing the phones under the Black Label Series. This line of phones has a concept of exposing the design factor. This series consists of four released versions namely Chocolate edition (2006), Shine edition (2007), Secret edition (2008) and New Chocolate edition (2009).
The recent model of Android smartphones from LG is the Optimus Series. The company also produced PC tablets. It indicates that LG does not want to be left behind in the competition PC tablet’s technology. The company claimed that the tablet will bring enormously superior performance than other similar tablets recently on the market while also still managing to be lighter and thinner than others.
