The company claimed that this device is directly targeted to young users or to those who do not have enough cash to purchase the more advanced smartphone like Galaxy S2 or Galaxy Note. The Samsung Galaxy Y runs on quad-band GSM networks (850/900/1800/1900MHz), EDGE (900/2100MHz), and 3G Band.
